Amelio Cruz
Amelio “Milli” Cruz was born in Hampton Roads and has been working in law enforcement for over 3 years now. He is proud to serve as the LGBTQIA+ liaison for the Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office. Prior to his career in law enforcement, he spent over 7 years as a General Manager in the Culinary industry.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's going to the beach, surfing, hiking, or simply enjoying nature. When he’s not outdoors, he likes to unwind by playing video games.
In addition to English, he also speaks a little Spanish and is currently taking Spanish lessons to become fluent. He finds learning a new language to be a fascinating and rewarding experience.
Above all, he has a passion for helping people and being a positive outlet for the community. It brings him great joy to know that he can make a difference in someone's life, no matter how small the impact may be. He believes that by being kind, empathetic, and understanding, we can create a more compassionate world.
